was a Japanese voiceâ actor from TaitĆ,â Tokyo. He was best known for voicing Medama Oyaji in nearly every adaptation of Shigeruâ Mizuki's GeGeGeâ noâ KitarĆ made during his lifetime. During his life he had been attached to Gekidan TĆgei and then Theatre Echo; he was attached to Aoniâ Production at the time of his death. He had a naturally deep voice but became famous for voicing characters with a high pitched voice. In addition to GeGeGeâ noâ KitarĆ, he also had prominent roles in Tensaiâ Bakabon (as the first voice of Honkan-san), Mazingerâ Z (as Mucha), Paul'sâ Miraculousâ Adventure (as Doppe), Magicalâ Princessâ Minkyâ Momo (as Sindbook), Akuma-kun (as Youaltepuztli), Dr.â Slumpâ &â Arale-chan (as Gara and Akiraâ Toriyama), Dragonâ Quest:â Daiâ noâ DaibĆken (as Brass), and the Shinâ Megamiâ Tensei:â Persona series (as Igor).
